Privacy Policy for PDF FastView

What we collect

We, the developer, collect nothing. There is no account, no sign-up, no analytics and no crash reporting, and we run no server. Your documents are never sent to us.

Advertising

The app shows a banner ad on its home screen, the list of recent documents, and only there. There are never ads on a page you are reading, and a new user sees none during their first few days with the app.

Ads are served by Google's Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob). To show and measure ads it may collect your device's advertising ID, general information about the device and the app, and whether an ad was shown or tapped, and it uses the network to do so. Google describes this in its privacy policy and in how Google uses information from apps that use its services. You can reset or delete your advertising ID at any time in Android Settings, under Privacy, Ads.

Where the law requires it, for example in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, the app asks for your consent with Google's consent form before any ad is requested. You can change or withdraw that choice at any time in the app, in Settings, Ad privacy choices.

Permissions

The app asks for no permission that reads your content: no storage, camera, microphone, contacts or location. The only permissions it declares are ones Android grants without asking, which the ads SDK needs: internet access, network state and the advertising ID.

Your documents

• Everything about your documents happens on your device. The app does not upload them anywhere.
• A document you open from another app (email, Drive, a chat app, a file manager) is kept as a private copy on your device for 7 days, so it appears in Recent, and is then removed automatically. Documents you star are kept until you remove them.
• Recent documents, stars, notes you add to pages, and your settings are stored only on your device, in storage other apps cannot read. Notes are never written into the PDF.

Ratings

If you choose to rate the app from inside it, the rating card is shown and submitted by the Google Play Store app under Google's privacy policy. We receive nothing from it.

Retention and deletion

You can clear your recent documents and their copies from the app's Settings at any time, and uninstalling the app removes everything it stored. Because we hold no data about you, there is nothing for us to delete on our side. For any question, write to the contact address above.

Children

PDF FastView is a general-audience app and is not directed at children under 13.

Changes

If a future version collects or shares anything more, this policy will be updated before that version is published, together with the app's Data safety section on Google Play.
